The Annie’s: “How to Train Your Dragon 2” Receives Best Animated Feature

The 42nd Annie Awards Honor All Things Animation

The 42nd Annie Awards™, which recognize the year’s best in animation, took place this past Saturday at UCLA’s Royce Hall. In attendance was a spectrum of industry craftspeople, including animators, artists, designers, screenwriters, producers, directors, editors, voice over actors, and more.

Animation is innovatively used in feature films to television, games and more, and utilizes everything from hand-drawn animation, puppet animation, stop-motion animation, claymation and computer-generated animation. Although traditional animation remains prominent, the past 30 years have seen a rise in animation content with the use of technology facilitating animation’s development.

More then just an awards show, the Annie’s celebrate all things animation.
