The 2015 Golden Globe Awards

golden-globes logoIn traditional award show fashion, the 72nd Golden Globe Awards were full of heartfelt moments, gratitude, laughter, and political statements, both serious and comical.

Dynamic duo, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the award show for the third consecutive year and opened the show with a series of zingers, including the Sony hack, North Korea and The Interview. Fey welcomed “all you despicable, spoiled, minimally talented brats,” referencing an email between a certain film producer and a certain Sony executive. They kept up the funny throughout the night with jabs about roles for women over 40, and even pushed the envelope a bit with Poeher’s comment about Bill Cosby (“…and Sleeping Beauty just thought she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby.”)

The night was one of glamour, entertainment, and consciousness with moments taken to mention the terrorist massacre at Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris, and the millions that were marching that day in support of free expression not only in France but around the world.
